We've been sorting through some of the pictures we took while on safari with my nephews.  Enjoy!
One of our wishes for this safari was to see some more elephants up close. Our wishes were fulfilled. This is the first elephant we spotted. Notice the short trunk. Poachers use wire to trap animals and this elephant was likely entangled and had its trunk severed. As a result it ate more slowly and was unable to keep up with a herd so was isolated.

The next one we saw flapped its enormous ears as a warning.

Mother and young ones on the move.

As evening approached this one was heading to the lake for a drink.

A protective wall around the baby.

Here's who they were protecting.

Don't mess with this one!  The sheer bulk is incredible.
